How can I buy in Masmadera?

To purchase any of our products you can do so by calling our branches or sending an email to the sales area, indicating the product you need and the place where it will be sent to then send a quote and generate the sale or by coming to our plants located in Santiago or Chillán.

What are the delivery dates?

Delivery times depend on each product and the place of shipping. Due to the current situation of the country, our delivery dates have been altered, so some products may take longer than usual to be shipped.

Do you always have stock of the products published on the page?

No, each product has a different stock, so you have to ask for the estimated delivery date, since it varies every day. In the case of Furniture and Games, they are manufactured after purchase.

Do you ship to all of Chile?

Yes, we ship to all of Chile through different shipping providers.
Each company is assigned depending on your city and region.

Is the shipping price included in the published prices?

No, the price is not included and it is calculated according to the product to be purchased and the place where it is shipped.

What does it mean that the wood is treated?

The fact that the wood is treated means that it has undergone a highly controlled industrial process, which consists of the injection of a water-soluble preservative developed for the long-term protection of wood exposed in exterior structures, in contact with soil and seawater.
This preservative is a fungicide and termiticide that protects against a broad spectrum of fungi, termites, wood boring insects and marine burrowers.

Why use treated wood?

- Because thanks to the preservative used for the treatment, our woods are protected against a broad spectrum of fungi, termites, wood boring insects and marine borers.

- For safety. One of the characteristics of treated wood is that, thanks to its composition, it maintains its structure over time.

- Because the Chilean Construction Law requires it.

- Because it is more economical in the long term versus untreated wood.

How durable is treated wood?

Wood treated with the CCA preservative, which we use in our processes, will last for decades, even in extreme environmental conditions. Its main uses include wood for agricultural use, sawn, plywood, telephone poles, structures in permanent contact with seawater.

Is the treated wood susceptible to attack by fungi or insects such as termites?

Wood, being a biological material, is prone to attack by certain physical, chemical and biological agents. These include attacks by fungi or insects such as termites, but by treating wood with CCA, it is protected against a broad spectrum of fungi, termites, wood boring insects and marine borers. So NO, treated wood is not susceptible to attack by fungi and a number of insects, such as termites.

Does treated wood need special care?

Generally, the same care should be taken that is offered once working with any wood. There is only one exclusive precaution: treated wood must not be burned, since the fire ends the alliance of the CCA with the cells of the wood, leaving its components free in the ashes, in this way it is possible to dispose of the remains of the wood and sawdust in a common garbage dump, and for no reason should it be used as firewood.

Wood is a hygroscopic material; it loses and absorbs moisture depending on the conditions of the environment that is in service (mainly temperature and relative humidity). Producing small dimensional changes, since the Radiata Pine wood continues to work in its shape, depending on the ambient humidity and environmental factors.

We also recommend using galvanized nails and screws when working with treated wood.

Can wood treated with preservatives be burned?

As is the case with other building products, treated wood should not be used to start a fire or as fuel for a stove, cooker or boiler.

Treated wood may be burned only in industrial incinerators or commercial duly approved by the corresponding local, regional or national entities or authorities.

Is it possible to use treated wood in water?

Yes. Pressure-treated lumber can be used following the manufacturer's recommendations on virtually all piers, piers, piers, and pier walls.

Can I paint or varnish the treated wood?

Yes, it can be painted or varnished. And like any other wood, the material must be applied according to the manufacturer's instructions.

How do we guarantee that a piece of wood has been treated correctly?

In Masmadera we have special high-quality equipment through which we carry out Vacuum-Pressure treatments to introduce the preservative into the interior of the cell of our wood and thus achieve a correct impregnation of the preservative in the wood.

Our company has been concerned with being a consistent and standardized company in terms of customer requirements in terms of obtaining a high quality product and that is why we are certified by Eurofins, who obtain samples of our wood treated to later be analyzed in their laboratories. In this way, we can guarantee our clients that at Masmadera our wood impregnation process is of the highest quality.

What and what is the security space we suggest for our Child´s Play?

The security space is the recommended minimum safe space that must be available around the facilities, specifically, our games, in order to reduce risks and ensure free movement. It is calculated by adding 1.5 meters around the structure, and calculating the corresponding area.
